The inaugural United States Match Play Championship will be held May 7-11, 2012, at Indian Hills Golf Course in Fort Pierce, Florida.  This will be the first open match play national championship ever held in the United States.  The event is open to all golfers, professional and amateur.

The entry fee is $275, and the first-place prize has been increased to $5,000, based on a full field of 100 players.  The format, based on a full field, calls for all players to participate in a two-round stroke-play qualifier on May 7 and 8 to determine the 16 who will advance to the match play portion of the tournament.  Approximately 30 percent of the field will be paid prize money.  For more information on the championship, please visit www.UnitedStatesMatchPlayChampionship.com.
